The service from VWCaliforniaclub was great.
However, the tap is the weak part of the California, and changing it was not easy. the tap in the vehicle has a connection block on it while the one that was delivered arrived with loose wires that then needed to be put into this block.

Great service. Now I just need to fit the product! I agree with the last reviewer that you also need to make allowances for a connection block.

Once the cupboard is emptied and drawer removed it is reasonably straightforward to remove the tap provided you have a basin spanner to release the base locknut.!!!
Without said spanner it may be very difficult unless it has worked loose after factory installation.
Finally, instructions would have been handy to show that the VW electrical connector needs separated and the original tap connector tail cut off and either soldered to the tails of the new tap and heat shrink covers or fixed with a small screw terminal insulated connector block
